• The series captures the fear and anxiety of exploring the unknown by engaging with the the body as a versatile vessel that plays host to the concurrence of conflicting emotions and experiences surrounding pain and pleasure,as a means of seeking an understanding to the complexity of self identity and the fragility of life.

• Referencing the metamorphosis of a butterfly,the mind and body are allowed to take up new forms that assent to the occupation and navigation of a new and unfamiliar space.

• The allision to a musical chorus is reflective of the need to repeatedly experience the foreign discomfort in order to gain familiarity and solace in the unknown.
